Zhenghua Food Rescue
Zhenghua Food Rescue is a community effort to reduce food wastage by Zhenghua YN and IAEC, supported by the Green Pillar.
This takes place every 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturday of the month (excluding public holidays), from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm or until stocks last, at the following locations across Zhenghua:
1st Saturday | Next to Segar LRT Station |
2nd Saturday | Senja Hawker Centre |
3rd Saturday | Blk 527 Jelapang Road |
4th Saturday | Blk 635C Senja Gateway |
The food items distributed vary each session, but typically include fruits, vegetables, bread, frozen and chilled products.
You are encouraged to bring your own recyclable bags or trolleys when collecting the food to eliminate excess plastic waste.
Zhenghua Food Rescue is a meaningful way to save food from being wasted and to share it with those who need it.
This also helps to raise awareness and educate Zhenghua residents on the importance of food security.
You can gain a deeper understanding on the multiple ways to use food in their household kitchens and understand the difference between ‘Best Before Date’ and ‘Expiry Date’.
In our journey to zero waste, we hope that reducing food wastage becomes embedded in the DNA of the Zhenghua community as part of a broader commitment to sustainability and community.
